DEPRESSION

Depression can be an awful experience! It can last a short while or a really long time, and the feelings associated with it can really weigh down on a person. They include general sadness, loneliness, hopelessness, pessimism, low self-esteem, lethargy, and anger to name several examples.

These symptoms can be caused by a multitude of factors such as trauma, relationships, and cultural, systemic, social and environmental stressors. When unchecked, depression can negatively impact functioning at home, work, health, and personal and professional relationships.
